often be present.

Warnings have to be given for legal reasons, but the side effects often depend on the ingredients present and also on the individual health of the person.

When taking any new supplement it is sensible to seek advice from a health professional
or pharmacy.

Our tanning tablets, however, contain the ingredients Copper, PABA and L-tyrosine. These ingredients are some of the safest and are often included in food products that people consume daily.

The tablets containing these ingredients are safe if you take the right dose. The correct dose is no higher than 12 grams a day, if you exceed this then you might develop some side effects.

Tanning tablets that contain beta carotene are not as safe as other tablets and are more
likely to cause side effects such as stomach cramps.

Although beta carotene isn’t unsafe in low doses, too much of it can lead to a condition called carotenemia, which causes side effects and can cause the skin to develop a yellowish/orange tinge.

To summarise, the evidence suggests that you don’t have to throw away the tanning tablets just yet, or join the pale skin brigade like myself. If taken carefully, with the right ingredients and in the right doses then tanning tablets should not cause any problems.

however, some of the risks may involve an individual’s current body type and colouring.

It is already a known fact that those with fair skin, who are prone to moles and freckles
are at a higher risk of developing skin-related illnesses than those with darker skin tone.

A pale person, who has been taking tanning tablets might be mistaken for thinking that
their darker complexion now makes it safer for them to be exposed to the sun.

This could prove to be risky, so it is really down to the sensibility of the individual and for
them to have an awareness of their body.

So is it Safe?

The evidence suggests that with the right ingredients it is safe to take tanning tablets.
Regarding sunbathing whilst taking these tablets, there is little evidence to suggest that
it is any more or less risky than usual.

Sitting in the sun for too long, no matter what, is risky anyway, even without tablets, so people should approach this with the same caution.

The positive of taking tanning tablets is that it will discourage people from sitting in the sun too long, resulting in less damage to the skin.

As previously stated the evidence suggests that it is perfectly safe for somebody to take
tanning tablets alongside CBD oil, and there might even be some benefits. As with most things, if unsure then seek some reassurance from your doctor first.
